Adrien Renoir

Sited in Verzy, a Grand Cru classified village in the heart of the Montagne de Reims, the house of Champagne, Renoir has been growing vines and making wines for 4 generations. Handed over from father to son their know-how and passion allow them to make wines peculiar to their own personalities.

The Renoir’s own around 7 hectares of vines, 6 in Verzy and 1 in Tours-sur-Marne & Berru. However for their domaine bottlings the fruit comes exclusively from their 5 best hectares in Verzy, the rest is sold off to other houses. And All of Adrien’s single lieu dit bottlings are planted to massale selection cuttings and were planted between 1961 and 1971.

Since 2014, Adrien, son of Vincent Renoir, has joined the family Domaine. He works his own vines following the principles of organic and biodynamic viticulture and in 2017 his conversion was completed. Vinifications occur in oak barrels where fermentation is then spontaneous, long maturations on lees with as little intervention as possible (no refining or filtering. With only a few vintages under his belt, Adrien has already managed to coax a tremendous elegance and finesse in the wines with superb style and structure.
