Confuron Edouard

Edouard Confuron (a part of the Confuron family) comes from the relatively low-profile Confuron-Gindre estate, which is located just below La Grande Rue, next to DRC. While slowly and successfully taking over Confuron-Gindre, Edouard starts his own winery-Edouard Confuron.

Having his own winery offers him the opportunity to create wines with a character all of his own and to present the terroir in a style that reflects his learned skills together with the developments of the new age.

Edouard uses more whole bunches than in the family range, and vinifies those cuvées without sulphur, only adding it at the end. Edouard’s domaine covers just 1.50ha, but provides seven wines. Over time he has been able to implement qualitative evolutions in the vineyard and winery that bring some extra finesse into the wines, yet he still remains respectful of his family’s traditions. His new domaine is his chance to create wines of his very own character and speak to the terroir in a new style that represent his well learned skills along with new age developments.
