Domaine Jean Chartron

Domaine Jean Charton produces great Burgundy wines in Puligny-Montrachet, the village that gives its name from the famous Montrachet, the greatest white wine of Burgundy. The estate was founded in 1859. Now, it operates 14 hectares and produces 22 appellations, including 11 in Puligny-Montrachet, with a great predominance for white wines (90% of production). The estate favors the expression of the terroir while respecting the diversity of localities and soils. Soils with different structures from one plot to another and geological variations from one hillside to another. This mosaic of terroirs makes it possible to produce very great wines, elegant and complex, typical of the Côte de Beaune.

All the wines of the Jean Chartron estate are fermented and aged in oak barrels, with the exception of regional appellations for which these operations take place partly in barrels and partly in vats.
