Ever since Maxime Cheurlin was handed the reigns to his family’s domaine in 2010, he quickly became one of Burgundy’s hottest names.

Prior to that, he had been training at 2 top domaines in Vosne-Romanee, namely Gros Frere et Soeur and Emmanuel Rouget (his uncle) giving him a solid foundation in which to rejuvenate his own family’s wines.

Now almost a decade later, he has achieved an almost cult-like status for his wines, serious Burg-nuts are hunting for allocations with every vintage Maxime puts out which is why we have been stockpiling his wines – this is a man to watch.

You will find ageing potential in his wines which impart an unusual elegance that all of us Burg-lovers chase yet, like his peers of his generation, he’s making wines that are drinkable when young.
