Marc Soyard-Domain De La Cras

Domaine de la Cras is a new estate located just south of Dijon in the appellation Coteaux de Dijon. The estate is apparently owned by the city of Dijon, and is now under the management of Marc Soyard – who have worked at Domaine Bizot in Vosne-Romanee.

Marc has farmed the vineyards organically, and also introduced some biodynamic practices to his wine making and uses minimal amounts of SO2 thereby qualifying to call his wines ‘natural’. The wines are vibrant, elegant, very appealing and with a lot of character from the terroir. He is the only producer entitled to label his wine ‘Coteaux de Dijon’.

The owl is the symbol of the city of Dijon. Local legend says that if you rub the owl with your left hand while making a wish it will come true.
